Hot Flushes
Hot flushes are a very common problem in the menopause, and in patients with breast or prostate cancer who are undergoing anti cancer treatment.
For those unwilling or unable to take HRT or other medication used to reduce this distressing condition, Acupuncture may make an acceptable alternative.
A recent study at The Royal Marsden Hospital London showed that Acupuncture can reduce the severity and frequency of hot flushes by more than half in about 80% of patients.
A course of up to 6 treatments is recommended initially which can be followed up by self treatment when properly instructed.
If you are interested in acupuncture do phone or make an appointment to discuss it further.
